Like most, I dream about those weeks when I can turn on the out-of-office, shut my laptop and disappear on an adventure.

But those experiences often feel like a lifetime away from behind my desk. And the thought of jumping behind a different screen after work to begin the research process is enough to ruin anyone’s romanticised travel fantasy.

And even when I find the energy to dip my toe into holiday planning, I become frustrated with infinite destinations and recommendations, out-of-date travel guides and superficial Tripadvisor reviews. And don’t even get me started on the annual leave allowance. How the hell am I supposed to fit everything in?
